Dr. Monica Castro brings a strong clinical background and a heart for service to DOCS Dental at MacDill AFB. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Before dental school, she built a solid academic foundation with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida and an M.S. in Medical Sciences and Anatomy from the University of South Florida, giving her a unique perspective on how oral health connects to overall physical and emotional wellness.

Dr. Castro is passionate about dentistry because every day she has the opportunity to improve lives—whether by alleviating pain, restoring function, or helping patients smile with confidence. She is excited about her role at DOCS Dental and looks forward to getting to know the MacDill AFB community, building long-term relationships with her patients, and giving back through high-quality, compassionate care. Her approach centers on personalized treatment, clear communication, and creating a supportive, friendly environment for patients of all ages.

Growing up on Florida’s east coast, Dr. Castro has always loved being active and involved in her community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, participating in fitness activities, trying new restaurants, reading, and volunteering. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is proud to serve a diverse patient population and to help each patient feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their dental care.
